"Dunno" whose problem it is ... but the TOPIC is foam underlayment on a layout.

Compared to the cost of an ogauge loc., a 1/2" plywood under a 1" foam base makes sense for structural integrity.

I've always used 3/4" ply - but on the current layout in progress, I'm using Mianne benchwork and 1/2" plywood.
