Reply to "Does the R2LC effect functionality?"

Mike,  Your Lionmaster uses the ACREG.  So there are several issues.  The R2LC does control smoke for early Basic TMCC.  If you set the R2LC code wrong you might get pulsing voltage out of the smoke triac instead of steady.

Since your engine uses the ACREG, it receives the serial data and controls smoke unit.  There are also 3 settings.  L, M, H.  Your instructions cover this.  Additionally, these smoke units can benefit from the smoke unit mod.  They are not good smokers to start.

I would do the engine rest using the code in the instructions.  Might be 74.  Than I would follow directions and set smoke level to H High.

Listen for fan running and see if it smokes.  If not as John says need to determine if fan running or not, than is wick burnt, is element open, wired up, smoke switch ok, etc...  If all is good, I would probably change out ACREG.  But smoke switch issues have been problems on these engine also.  Bad switch.  G
