Well, I can see the point.

My wife was VERY unhappy when I came home Saturday evening.

I made the mistake of taking 3 of my Nieces kids with me to the LHS.

Now I have a soft spot for all these kids, and I came home with 9 sq feet of scenery creation materials for the older one and a Thomas the Train O gauge stater set for the younger pair. I had the LHS swap me in Realtrax so I could augment the loop right away. I got a $5.00 flatcar for my Military train.

We set up the basic loop on the carpet right away, the kids were taking turns running it. (And derailing it by leaving odd things too close to the track and turning around in the middle)

I made the loop bigger with some O-54 curve additions and more straights on Sunday morning. The kids love it.

I have already designated my conventional Docksider to be added at a later date. And I already added an old Gondola. They do love loading items on the train.

So, Hobby or Habit? I'd say somewhere in the hobby range. The bills come first.
