Looks like the switch is wired in series with the motor lead to the smoke unit. If you power the smoke unit via the center rail, just wire the switch in series with the center rail pickup. Be sure the other side of the smoke unit is wired to ground (frame). Measure the smoke unit heater to be sure it’s about 27 ohms.
