Reply to "Early Williams Passenger Car Assistance"

In 1987 Williams started importing trucks and frames from Korea.  Those trucks have fast angle wheels and operating couplers.  They appear on ebay regularly.  They come in a five car set in a styrofoam insert.  The early boxes are usually red or yellow.  Swapping the trucks out would solve your problem.  The early Williams trucks are almost identical (except non operating) to the early Lionel passenger car trucks which did not pull that well either.
