Easy Dorm-room projects

Hi everyone,

I don't post too much, but have always enjoyed checking out the work on the scenery board. This summer I'll be interning away from home (and the layout) and will be living in a dorm all summer. That being said, I'd love to keep up some train related activities and thought that some kit-building or scratch building might be a fun way to do that.

Seeing I won't have access to much more than exacto tools and paintbrushs, I'd love to hear if anyone has any suggestions for some low cost "builds" that could keep me involved with the layout this summer.
