If you can jiggle the 675 and it tries to run, you’ve got an intermittent connection in it. Could be another - very old - broken wire.

This kind of problem has nothing to do with transformer phasing, the 153, the LW or anything else like that. It is something specific to the 675, and I’m betting it is a broken or loose wire.
