Reply to "Embedded pictures disappear after editing topic"

In the interest of providing another example of pictures missing from an edited reply, although not in exactly the same way as what @gunrunnerjohn describes in this Topic, yesterday I started a different Topic about Account Management Alerts sometimes not notifying me about another member's reply to a followed Topic.

I deleted the rest of this post because it is not related to the problem users are experiencing in this thread. Copying and pasting images into posts is a completely different technical scenario.
