we need to know your engine item or no one can help you Lionel MTh's engines! chances are you have damaged the electronics' in your engine from your track derailment! most engine's especially mth are easily damaged from the voltage spikes that are created when you have a momentary track shorts like derailment accidents which creates a large voltage spike which can damage tiu and or engines ! the tiu has tvs diode protection to help catch the voltage spikes but engine electronics does not! ps 3 engine seem to be very susceptible to this damage. that's why we need to know which engine ps2 ps 3 or whatever to give you an honest opinion!
