I have a replacement chip for EOB boards that might be of interest to forum members. It fixes two of the most complained about features,. It removes the EOB squeal and has a quicker response time. It does loose the ability to run in cruise mode when in conventional mode.
I have upgraded most of my diesel locomotives, and have been pleased with the results.
This is a completely new code base, and uses a different microprocessor chip. You would have to be able to remove the old chip and insert the new one.
I am considering ordering a batch of chips to program up, and sell at $25 each (shipped). So if any of you are interested in this, respond here. If there is enough response, I will put in an order for some chips.
