I kinda figured such, Todd. The wireless IR drawbar is something I think we really take for granted now, but back then it must've been a godsend in more ways than one.

It's also confusing since the 1995 Lionel catalog even describes this engine (as well as the D&RG SD50) having RailSounds 2.
