Reply to "ERR in 3rd Rail/Williams Brass Engines: Personal Project or Hire an Installer?"

I use 63/37 Rosin Core solder for my work, .031" for general wiring and .020" for circuit boards.  I am partial to the Hakko FX-888D soldering station, it's a top notch soldering tool.  It may be a bit pricey at $100 if you're not going to do a significant amount of soldering, but it's a tool that will last you for many years.
