To keep it simple, just use the LEDs from forum sponsor Evans designs. Their LEDs come with the protection circuit so you can tie into the leads from the trucks. For the front and rear lights you want 3mm LEDs they go right in the headlight casting. all my dummy units get the evans designs led upgrade along with MRC ac sounder units.
