Good to hear that you're going to get an electronic E-unit. Considering the other disassembly that you've already done, installing it will be a cakewalk.

How you modify the loco is your choice, of course, but one "excuse" (if you need one) for running stuff that doesn't match the rest of your fleet is to say that you are modeling a heritage line / train museum.
