Reply to "Favorite K-Line Passenger Set"

Absolutely Ken! Congratulations on a great acquisition. Out of Family loyalty I have to add my vote for the Southern Crescent Limited. I believe the set includes (and possibly Ken can confirm) the Francis Marion passenger car. Though not the true namesake: Francis Marion Rodgers; Serving in the 7th South Carolina Infantry Co “E” was the first of my ancestors to give his life for the cause, being shot down while holding his Captain’s horse at Maryland Heights, VA, December 13, 1862.

I don’t own any K Line equipment, but if I’d have discovered this set when I started out, it would have sent me proudly into an entirely different direction building my empire.
