If a 50 madison car was missing a word it would be worth thousands. If this is one mistake and not something on all...I expect it to be quite desirable. Just buy another and swap out and keep.
I agree 100% as I own a set of late 1940's cars with no numbers. Over the years I collecterd an Irvington, a Madison, and a Manhattan all with names but never stamped with any numbers. On eBay I saw but did not buy a modern Irvington car with no printing on one side. There seems to be a pattern of errors on this type of car over the decades. Hang onto yours IMO as someday it will be worth as much as the entire set.
