I decided to try and fix her myself. Otherwise, it was back to the train store where they would have sent her back to Lionel for a credit. Obviously, they don't make this particular locomotive any more, so that was not an option for me.

Anyway, she runs great and I look forward to seeing many more War Bonnets on my layout.
