Reply to "Flag Day"

FYI: Our flag was first named Old Glory by a 19th Century sea captain named William Driver, who eventually settled in Nashville, TN. For many years, his gravesite in the old Nashville City Cemetary was the ONLY site where an all-weather flag was flown 24/7. As a former Nashville tour guide, I have taken hundreds of people to view his gravesite. Also, the Broadway composer, George M. Cohan wrote the wonderful rousing song, Grand Old Flag, to honor our flag. James Cagney famously portrayed Mr. Cohan in the equally rousing film, Yankee Doodle Dandy.
