Reply to "foam board"

FWIW, my Xmas layout is 2” blue foam cut to fit a bay window, and sitting on a 1” x 6” grid frame.  I too, think it’s a bit loud when both trains are running.  But it sure is light and easily stored and manuvered from the basement.
