well the brick building is an original photographed in Rhur
it was made with MDF (medium board) with laser printing I have made original drawing and documentation and a professional in germany use my work to made the final file for printing (I'm not a CAO specialist) in fact every walls have several layer of mdf to form final ornements on top

The building is not painted it's just the "natural" color after printing the heat of the laser give this red brick scheme
well after painting and adding detail here's the final result
For the foundry the extension was made with evergreen profile and roof with styrene
Painting the big question
I have several airbrush but for this size of model I use Molotov aerosol paint
(taggers favorite here's) advantage very fine 256 colors matt and dry very quickly
the rest for effects I use Humbrol mixed matt 33 186 170 and 70 dilued with acetone
also chalk powder for weathering and all interaction with paint very well known on weathering forum
The funny game now
like John, recycling is very important in our hobby (I will try to make pics of my junk box just for fun)
well 15 miles from my place we have a scrap yard with many parts also electronics printer fridge vacuum cleaner everything you can find from company and residential houses finished here... for my pleasure
The smoke stack is a good example the main body is from the mecanism in a WC
the base is a selector button from a washing machine
Well when I try to recycle something think about the form : Cone square circle round tube etc... to make the base after you add the details ladder rivets etc...
Machinery/steam hammer, another facts is documentation if you make a research via google about foundry you have great pics also videos of drop forge hammer in action
My steam hammer have a wood structure inside to have this famous curved design
I just recovered with styrene glued by cyanolite the rest of details was made with brass
parts from military kits gears from mecanism from clocks etc...
