Front axle on the front truck Legacy SD90MAC problem

The front (non-geared) axle on my SD90MAC (6-82761) is not rolling or sliding smoothly. I relubricated it but it does not feel as smooth in rolling or side to side movement as the similar non-geared axle on the rear truck. It actually caused the front truck to partially derail twice today.

After I oiled the shaft it did not derail again but it just seems like an issue. I bought this locomotive used so I can’t be sure of ant prior issue and it has worked fine until today.

I’ve looked it over closely but do not see a way to disassemble the axle and repair or replace it. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
