Happy F.E.F everyone. My front view this week is a bit unusual and much earlier than the F-3 / PA-1's I posted last Friday. This is my NEW (new to me of course) American Flyer Type XI 0-4-0 engine, cataloged from 1923-1926 so he is almost 100 years old. He carries the logo..."A.F. No 16" under the cab window and is cast iron. The tender shows "American Flyer Lines" inside a red/white rectangle on the sides and the number "120" in a similar rectangle on the rear. He is clockwork (motor works like a champ) and it came with a brake rail in the set and it has a cab brake for winding. I will post some pictures of the full train in the Tinplate section later today. I suppose I could get the dust off him, but whoever saw a steam engine without some dirt on it!
Have a great weekend everyone! Happy F.E.F everyone
