Johan: While I was empoyed in the Deutsche Bundesbahn Nuremberg hump yard in the 80s we received tank cars from Russia.  I remember when several got away from a crew and were sent to the runaway track.  What a mess.  Thankfully, they were empty at the time.  Then in the 90s after I had left my switching duties behind me and was employed as a service rep at the Nuremberg Hauptbahnhof, we had a through sleeper from Russia that terminated in Munich.  They were still in the green scheme with the Russian Ry. crest on the car side.  Impressive!

I really like the new Russian Ry. grey and red scheme.  It's really impressive!

Then there are the Chinese Ry. U.S. built GE Diesel units that operate on the world's highest railway from Peking to Tibet.  WOW!  Please pass the oxygen mask!

I think the Russians loaded the cars by dipping them in oil.  I think that grey and red scheme looking a much better than the old green and blue. I like also our Fenniarail and Operail`s paint schemeĀ“s
