We assume CSX would have sold the lines to NS. Its rumored and believable that the old SAL from Atl to Birmingham was abandoned quickly to keep BNSF out of Atlanta.

I read somewhere that CSX may put back some of the SAL north of JAX to give an alternate route for intermodal to enter the city????
