Thanks anyway for your potential help O Gauge Forum members. I managed to dis-assemble the crane and figured out that the belt was "stuck" to the plastic pulley. The motor was spinning but the motors pulley was slipping on the belt. Looks like the crane will be operating again after working the belt loose. If anyone has any good repair pointers or parts diagrams about this unit I wouldn't mind reading them and putting them to future use.
