I may have misunderstood.
When I looked at the Gear Box Assy listed on the Lionel site I thought it was just the motor and plastic housing.
Does anyone know if all the internal gears and rubber drive belt come with it?
That would be ideal if that is the case.
John. I used a traction tire to temporarily substitute but it is not the right size and too tight. The original was also not near as wide.

Adriatic...I too thought of a rubber band but it is a bit of a pain to get into the unit and would prefer the more longer lasting heavier belt, thanks.
