@Shawn_Chronister with the new Gensets, I usually do a check of the engines with the flap smoke stacks and do a wipe down before running. I've had it stick and it creates of case of smoke trying to seep out every crack and seam. I would imagine if left that way that the entire insides of the engine would get a nice coating of smoke residue.
Yeah we had one come back like that when I used to work for a trainshop I cannot name because I always get jammed up for it. The engine was a mess inside.
