I should ask Lionel again, but it's early and Saturday. Anybody had reason to talk to Lionel about these engines?
When are the GG1 Vision Line engines going to be posted on the parts site? Mine came new with hoses broken off the rear pilot and I was waiting until I could just order a replacement pilot. I talked to Lionel at the time and was told to wait a couple months. I resisted sending it in for more damage in shipping or whatever. Later, I also broke a pantograph in a tunnel and although I fixed it with JB Weld and painted the weld black (works fine), I think I'll replace that too some day.
