I also need to rebuild my Atlas AEM7 for the straight 8 car Clocker, build an HEP car out of a cheap plastic 18" coach so I can use the cars with a GG1.

Clockers usually got an E60 for power - I saw them plenty of times on the NEC. AEM7's were pretty rare on Clockers and by the time the E60's were retired the Clockers also were on the way to being phased out as well.

Would love to see the shorty ex-Army baggage cars done as well:

Some were later rebuilt as HEP power cars:

You can see one of the ex-Army power cars behind the GG1 with Amfleet in Phase I trailing behind in the below image:

As for the thread topic I may be in for Phase I Amcoach and Amcafe - 1975 is pushing my era slightly but just slips in. Will think about it...

I like those HEP cars..... this is making me think to get some phase I cars now. I have the Lionel PC black jack GG1 to pull them. Decisions decisions.......

There were also e8b units that became HEP cars.  Easier to fudge considering current market availability

No kidding! I can get an mth or weaver B unit for like $100 bucks. Even if I gotta paint it that's worth it.
