If I were going to wallow in nostalgia, I would pick a time before I was born. When Lionel was selling kits for 700e Hudsons and scale tanks, boxes, and cabooses. When Model Builder was selling dreams to boys AND men. Those were the catalogs I salivated over as a child--circa 1940.
