It would have had to have been after 1967. The BSB color scheme was officially inaugurated in the Summer of 1967, on the Board of Director's Special, which departed Saint Paul Union Station. They went to great lengths to keep all the passenger equipment and the two SD45 units (and boiler car) under wraps, until the big day of the Director's Special. Somebody dropped the ball however, as there was one baggage car, near the headend, that was still painted in GN Empire Builder colors. Truly not a nice looking passenger train, in my opinion. I never found a worker on the GN, while I was there in 1967, that liked the BSB colors.
