A8996884-E1B2-4986-80B3-71B8C21B7A12Theres a lot to be said about keeping it simple, tubular sectional track, 072, 022 switches, and at one time there were many choices, Lionel, MTH ?, (Not sure if MTH Offered tubular Track) K-Line, and now Menards. Then came Ross, Gargraves, Curtis, MTH, Atlas O, all with a new marketing idea, 3-rail scale.  There’s a lot of choices, and there’s folks buying each of these. Then, There are now many ways to buy  Fastrack, a plastic based 3 rail snap together track, Etc....  So, if you like the tubular look, and that makes you happy, go that direction.  I sectional track, the height of 027 is closer to a scale height. I’m an old timer, 75 years young and what brought me back to the hobby was Atlas O 21st Century Track and Lionel TrainMaster TMCC/Legacy. This is a super fun hobby which ever direction one goes. OKHIKER, very nice layout, it’s cool.  Great thread, Happy Railroading
