I got around to unpacking the cars today and opened one up. I opted for the Phase II scheme with a couple extra coaches in the as delivered and Phase III so I can do 1977 to early 1980s "dog's breakfast" looking consists. These are gorgeous and replicate the prototype very well. Going to get some Kadee 747s very soon. I cannot wait to get my re-motored Amtrak Overland F40PHs on the head of these things - talk about memories!

Also, a tip of the hat to Scott for getting the colors right.

Now to complete my staging benchwork and lay the main so these things can roar. Maybe down the road we'll see some P30CHs to pull them with?! Or the exSanta Fe Pine Series 10-6 Budd Sleepers and exATSF Baggage cars with Amtrak Phase I, II, and III to go with these for long distance trains?! Ok, I'll stop. Happy Railroading!
