The latest GGD announcement has the reissue of some of their heavyweight cars. What I like is the RPO and baggage cars will now be separate sale instead of in a set with the combine. While I can always use RPO and baggage cars, I do not need more combines.
The GGD baggage car's prototype looks like the PRR's B70. While the PRR had over 900 B60s, they only had 55 B70s. I have two now, but still want a couple more to mix with all my Weaver B60s. I have sent an email to GGD to ask how many different numbers they will have. Two B70s, 6004 and 6026, were express messenger cars. Maybe if we are lucky GGD will paint one as one of these messenger cars.
Their RPO's prototype looks like the PRR BM70k, the ones without the small windows on either side of the baggage door. I plan to buy a few of these to replace my fantasy Weaver RPOs. Again, I asked if they will do multiple numbers of the car. It would be neat if they modified their car body mold to include the small windows to add variability in the train, or maybe even a whole new RPO like a BM70m. I know, beggars can't be choosers.
