Thanks for your comments, I am glad you enjoyed the video. 

 

Nothing all that fancy in my GoPro set-up.  All I did was remove a container on my MTH Norfolk Southern Gunderson Stacks and placed the camera on top of the bottom containers (you can see them in the video).   The car is simply towed behind the Big Boy: again a very simple and effective set-up. 

 

I thought about creating a custom jig, but honestly, the camera was both secure and sturdy riding on the car...so felt that to be a waste of time.

I have the GoPro Hero 3 White Edition.  I've heard the Hero4 is even better in terms of quality and versatility.
