Alex,

I know this thread is a little over 1 1/2 yrs old,   but I have a question on the roller collectors on the bottoms of the locomotives.   I see that the newer version FEF has a double roller setup for the lead collector,  whereas the older version(which I have) just has the single roller.   I own the older 6-11116 Greyhound 844 and there are times that when going over certain switches(especially Ross double crossovers among others) the roller spacing causes the locomotive to drop power and come to a stop unless it is rolling along at a good clip.   So,  after looking at your comparison picture of the locos bottoms,   my question is that in your opinion does it look like I would be able to simply swap out the single roller for the double roller setup in the lead collector position on my older FEF?   Of course this would mean purchasing the double roller setup along with the correct insulators and longer screws(if needed).   If you have a chance,  let me know what you think.   Thanks

Nick

Hi Nick it's hard to remember lol but looking at the picture it looks like you will be able to use the double roller.
