The LED's were installed and glued in place yesterday.
TCS 1517 decoder installed in tender and building an 8-pin connector.
This tender had no headlight or marker lights.
Rectangular hole made for the 8-pin connector.
Drilled/tapped a 2/56 screw hole to attach the red wire to the frame.
Frame wires soldered. The other 4 wires get a 4-pin connector to operate via functions the headlight/cab light, marker lights, running board lights and the fire box glow LED operates independently from the decoder.
Programming track.
Comprehensive screen.
Light screen.
Basic screen.
All's 'good'.
Saved to roster.
Headlight and marker LED's routed via heat shrink tubing with 5 short pieces for future PM.
I forgot to take pictures of the remaining LED installation.
Fireman's side view.
Will have to see if I can remove the 'ghost' on the decals from the previous person who painted this engine.
I used Scalecoat 'loco black' which dries 'dull' to 'touch up' several 'paint chips' on the model.
Used the nearest draw bar hole so 'near scale' distance from cab to tender.
Lighted cab shows the back head detail.
Engineer's side view.
I only have 3 other Burlington engines.
