Southern PS4 4-6-2 imported by PFM (United) in 1976.
Can motor, LED's and decoder install.
Decided to 'work' on this engine.
Whoever painted this engine did a professional job.
==========
Open frame motor replaced with a can motor.
Back head added.
Had to trim the sides and bottom for the back head to fit in the cab.
Some JB weld used to secure it to the boiler and foam to hold it 'in place' until the JB weld 'cooked'.
Holes for the running board lights.
A very fine drill bit, used first, to drill out the marker lights.
Manually enlarged the holes in the marker lights to prevent 'ripping' them from their mounts.
LED's (0402's) glued to headlight and marker lights as well as running board lights and cab light.
Tender headlight drilled.
Hole in deck to route the LED wires.
Rectangular hole cut for the 8-pin connector.
Canopy glue used to secure the LED's.
TCS 1517 decoder installed in the tender.
