New delivery.
NYC 4-6-4 Hudson.
I purchased this one back around 2000, or so.
It served many 'hours' but, literally, fell apart.
One side rod broke in half and the other side has a slight bend in it plus two of the driver sets have one driver completely stripped off the axle.
There are no spare parts so I thought I'd try repairing it but, in the 'mean time' I put a 'notify' on EBAY for any that were for sale.
I really 'lucked out' as I obtained another engine for only $113 plus $40 for shipping.
I was surprised at how cheap it 'went for'.
I, probably, would have had to pay more than that EVEN if the parts were available!
Original packing and box plus shipping box.
In very good condition.
This one has a movable bell whereas my old one does not.
Drivers in good shape.
'Ditto' with the tender.
The new box has a different label....
versus the old engine.
Since the new one is numbered 5205 and the old one is #5207,
I'm guessing the 5205 came out first and the 5207 came out later; hence the cheaper bell put on the 5207.
The 'key point'; it also 'runs well'.
I looked down the smoke stack and it appears to have a 'smoke unit'.
I put some 'smoke fluid' in it but nada.
My trains that I had when I was very young (plus a few that I wanted but 'too rich' to obtain 'back then')!
