New delivery and PM the Garratt.
Forgive me for I have sinned: I bought a diesel and it's not even close to my 1938 'operating range'!
It has a tsunami sound decoder with lights and it only cost 25 bucks more than I pay for my TCS 1517 sound decoders!
And it came from Alaska and the seller had free shipping; plus it got here in 4 days (amazing: 6,900 miles)!
Purchased it since it's classified as 'iconic' since it's the largest diesel made.
UP DD40AX diesel.
Imported by Bachmann in 2013.
Video: yard test
Has a blinking light on the roof, headlights and lighted number boards.
The bell is 'clunky'.

The 'guts'.
Clam shell packaging that everyone seems to be using, now.
Maybe test run.
They made at least 2 'runs' of this model;
One run says 'DCC' (no sound) and the 2nd run has little 'speakers' on each side of the 'DCC' emblem.
Programming track.
Roster.
Tested via the 'throttle' on the 'programming track'.
Engineer's side.
Lighted number boards and headlights.
Not too scale but 'good enough' for me!
Excellent paint.
Flashing dome light.
Fireman's side, although it's, probably, the same as the engineer's side.
=============
Beyer Garrett 2-6-0 + 0-6-2.
Last Tuesday the lead engine derailed a couple times.
Removed the water tank (screw under a hatch cover) and it 'snaps off'.
Already some weight but I added some 1/16" thick lead.
LED for the 'head light'.
See if that works!
