Here is my 2020 "Petite" Std. Gauge & O Gauge Halloween Layout. My first Halloween Layout offering ever. Its 4ft x 6ft. Set up on two 3ft square card tables, in our Foyer. The birch plywood layout table is covered with two layers of inexpensive orange sparkle fabric, bought at Walmart.
Many dollar store items, a couple of things from Walgreens several Dept 56 Halloween items including the Rickety Railroad Station and the Halloween wooden triptych backdrop, 2 Lemax buildings; my wood worker and builder Hubby Tom chose the Dead Construction Zone, I- a jazz singer chose the Zombie Jazz Club. I created the ala' 1933 art deco "Park-In" Theater, using my large iPad as the movie screen. The cars there for the night's movie are all 1:24 1930s era diecast. The peeps in the convertible are #1 Gauge Aristo-Craft. The Halloween children peeps at the Pumpkin Patch are Dept 56 Seasons Bay.
The trains for Std. Gauge are; MTH Ives 1134 Circus set loco and tender, original 1930s repainted purple & black with gold 35 Pullman, repro orange & blue Lionel 309 Pullman, and repro Lionel Stephen Girard Observation. The O gauge trains are; older MTH AT&SF loco with matching 605 tender, older Lionel Zombie Containment (aquarium) car, older Lionel gondola jack-o-lantern car. Two green 600 series prewar tinplate Lionel freight cars are filled with candy; a tipple car and a hopper. The eerie special effects of smoke hovering, that drifted completely on its own towards the Foyer windows was courtesy MTH Proto-Smoke smoke pouring forth and filling the room from the O engine!
