Reply to "Hand Laid Track and Turnouts for 3 Rail"

My trains currently run on Fastrack which is fine for the time being since I'm a carpet runner but I don't want to use it on bridges.   I looked at  Atlas stainless track for outdoor use (bridges will eventually be in the garden) with the thought of using it  but I already have some GarGraves and it still doesn't give me the look I want.  So I started thinking about creating my own bridge track but had no idea where to get the rail other than cannibalizing  some of my GarGraves.   Now that I've seen this thread and the Micro Engineering rail,  I'm going to order a batch of code 148, cut and stain the longer bridge ties, and see how things go.   I am undecided about bridge guard rails, I'm not sure if I should use code 125 or just put in plastic/wood,  anyone have any experience or suggestions?
