Reply to "Having a problem(s) with a Lionel 0 Gauge 022 switch"

First determine if the problem is the switch or the controller.

Provided the O22 is in a common ground scheme with fixed voltage plugs:

1) Remove all wires from the 3 motor terminals.

2) Use a screwdriver or conductive material of choice and short the center terminal to a side terminal. If the switch is already in that position, it won't move. Then short the center post to the other terminal, it should move to that position. Once you have shown both outside terminals operate the frog in opposite directions, you know the switch is good and the problem is in your wiring/controller - otherwise, it is in the switch.
