Having trouble removing a PS2 battery to install a BCR2

IRON HORSEOGR Forum Member SUPPORTING MEMBERDIGITAL SUBSCRIBER

I'm perplexed on how to remove this battery. The metal housing has a flange on the top and there is nothing to remove from the bottom to get the blue battery out. I've replaced other PS2 batteries and have not had this issue. Any suggestions? This is a PS2 MTH Premier GP38-2 20-2860-1 Wisconsin Southern.
