Well, you have to be able to get the battery out without bending stuff, so it was logical. They don't always make it easy, I'll give you that! I wouldn't bother putting the holder back in, just stick the BCR in somewhere.

When I put a BCR2 in a subway set, I removed the holder and just two way taped it to the frame.
