The SD70ACu would mean a new tooling. Its pretty much the cab of a SD70ACe and the body of a SD80MAC so it wouldn't be hard to mass produce. I know a few people that have kitbashed them. I wouldn't get a CP version of this engine but a Norfolk Southern one would be tough to pass up. These special paint schemes are awesome though!

Since this is the CP, these units would be their former SD90’s.  I agree, Norfolk Southern and now CP have undertaken nearly identical rebuild programs for their SD80/90’s, new tooling should be warranted here.  A SD70ACu project has more sales potential than the SD60E both MTH and Lionel undertook a few years back, since NS and now CP are participating in those programs.
