Reply to "Heisler Brass O / ON3 Gear Driven Steam Engine Help with Manufacturer"

This is in fact a Westside Models production from many years ago.  They produced many with both Standard Gauge (O-5) and Narrow Gauge (3-foot) trucks.  They are loosely based upon the West Side Lumber Company (WSLC) Number Three Heisler.  The West Side Heislers were built by Sterns around 1899 and two of the four survive today.  The Number Three was converted from Three Foot Narrow Gauge to Standard Gauge in the late 1950's to be the Mill Switcher.  The Three was converted back to Three foot in the early 1960's by the Roaring Camps Railroad in Felton California, where she still operates today. These models are not bad running but can be a bit noisy.
