That or it's need of a rebuild. If bushings, gears, gear shaft's tolorences get bad you might experience this too.(usually gears or gear shafts with noise). Wiggle wheels fwd/back/ up/ down to start. This would show axle bushing contition, which usually show the wear first, giving you an idea of how worn other things might be.
