help needed - repair on MTH 6 wheel pass car truck

hi everyone!

I have a very nice MTH RPO car that is 16 3/4" long (body) and 18 3/4" total length. Boston and Albany lettering. 3134

It has very elaborate 6 wheel trucks. Sprung. One of them uncouples far too easily and I need to fix this for the car to be usable. I don't want to disable the uncoupling capability so gooping it shut is not an option.

Does anyone have any experience with these? Can I take the truck apart enough to fix/adjust whatever is wrong? It is a much more sophisticated truck than other MTH 6 wheel trucks I have so I am hesitant to just "have at it".

Suggestions? Can take a photo.
