Help on downloading sound files

I have a VRE/Fredericksburgh F40PH diesel which I have put a GO shell (20-2512-1) on.I want to change out the sound file from the VRE to have a GO sound file.I have connected all as per instructions.

I uploaded the current sound file from the VRE and saved it on my windows PC.

I found the powered unit in MTH product locater , 20-2512-1, and downloaded and saved the PS 2.0 sound file and saved in on my windows PC.

However when I go to upload ( transfer) the new file to the VRE everything connects and a message comes back " unable to proceed as file is 2 mb and unit only has 1 mb". I have tried many times, reset and I keep getting the message. The VRE was catalogued in 2010 and has the square charging port ( not the round peg version).

Is there anything I can do? Is it possible the receving engine does not have enough space. Both locomotives were catalogued as same time and have same charging port so I assumed they were similar.

How can I tell if 3V or 5V may be an issue causing issues.

Would it be possible the GO sound file is jsut larger and I cannot download to the VRE?

I have swiped out other sound files but steamers.

Appreciate any help.
